Ownership Structure
The customers own Tryggingarfelagið LÍV through the Ownership Company LÍV and P/F Fakfelag.
The goal is to continuously provide excellent service and return profits through good insurance, low operational costs, and a meaningful return on pension savings.
P/F Tryggingarfelagið LÍV manages P/F LÍV Life and Pension Insurance and the subsidiaries within the LÍV group.
Ownership Company LÍV
Ownership Company LÍV owns 50% of the share capital in P/F Tryggingarfelagið LÍV.
- Established on October 28, 2005. Registered on November 23, 2005.
- The company’s purpose is to own shares in P/F Tryggingarfelagið LÍV.
- The owners are all policyholders and insured individuals in the LÍV group.
- The board of directors manages the company.
The representative council represents the customers of LÍV at the annual general meeting of the LÍV group.
35 council members are elected from and among the members of the company. Elections are held every four years, and all members are eligible to vote.

The board of directors was last elected at the annual general meeting on April 17, 2023.

P/F Fakfelag
P/F Fakfelag owns 50% of the share capital in P/F Tryggingarfelagið LÍV.
On August 31, 2023, P/F Fakfelag purchased the shareholding previously owned by the Government of the Faroe Islands in the company, corresponding to 16.67%.
